BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON

3 Slices of bacon, fried crisp, and crumbled
2 shallots or green onions
1 pound package of frozen or fresh brussels sprouts
1 cup chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste​​

​​Fry bacon until crisp, soak up grease with paper towel, and crumble.  Do not pour bacon grease out of skillet.  Add to the skillet two shallots sliced thin.  Cut brussels sprouts in half and add to the skillet.  Add crumbled bacon.  Add chicken broth and salt and pepper to taste.  Stir, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes until sprouts are tender.
